Epiphany

Epiphany
Saturday next, 6th January, is the Feast of the Epiphany, the Twelfth day of Christmas.
It is sometimes called “Little Christmas” or, in Irish, Nollaig na mBan (Women’s Christmas).
The Epiphany is manifestation, evidence or proof that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, as foretold by the prophets of the Old Testament. The Feast also commemorates the adoration of the child Jesus by the wise men (Magi) from the East. It is a Holyday of Obligation.
One Mass in the Parish – 11am in Quin.
