Week of Witness

Sunday 16th to 23rd November is designated as a Week of Prayer and support for persecuted Christians. Some 413 million Christians live in countries where religious freedom is severely violated. Countries with high levels of persecution include North Korea, Somalia, China, Yemen, Eritrea and Nigerian. The violence comes through Government controls, extremist violence and cultural and social pressures. The Week of Witness is an invitation to Christians across the island of Ireland to stand in solidarity with and bear witness to the heroic example of our persecuted brothers and sisters in Faith across the world.
