Bene Merenti Award

Bene Merenti Award: We congratulate Mary Corbett from Rylane who was awarded the Bene Merenti Medal by Pope Leo for her many years of generous service to the church at local, diocesan and national level. Mary is choir Director and organist in St Stephen’s Church Maghera, Organist in the Poor Clare Monastery Ennis, a volunteer helper in Knock Shrine, a promoter of Children’s Eucharistic Adoration in the Diocese, Mary serves on the Board of Management of Clooney School and is a member of our Pastoral Council. She taught in Ennis National School for 37 years and cared for her mother in the final years of her life. The award was presented to Mary at the annual Harvest Mass in St Stephen’s Church last Sunday by Bishop Fintan in the presence of her family, parish community, friends and colleagues. We thank Mary for all that she does in sharing the gospel by using and sharing her many talents.
