Wave of Light at the Abbey

On October 15th, buildings across Ireland plan to join the global Wave of Light and to light up blue and pink to mark pregnancy and infant loss remembrance day. To mark the event, with the co-operation of the OPW and local Politicians, Quin Abbey is set to be illu-minated in blue and pink. At 7pm, people are asked to take a moment in memory of all the babies who are loved, missed and never forgotten. The event is being promoted by Féileacáin, the national non-profit charity in Ireland that provides support, resources, and counselling to families affected by the death of a baby around the time of birth or perinatal loss.
