This Sunday 24th August is designated as a Day of Prayer for Gaza. On this day you are asked to light a candle in your home or Church, attend Mass, spend time before the Blessed Sacrament, pray the Rosary, make some small personal penance or sacrifice and on the day, let the light of Hope radiate out from the Island

The Franciscan Friars have asked that we convey their thanks and gratitude to the many peoples who are helping them clear the debt incurred in repairing the roof the Friary in Ennis. Work is progressing and should be completed in the coming weeks. They assure all of a remembrance each day in prayer when they gather as a community twice

The dreaded three words are here again. Our school’s doors will open once again this week for the start of the new school year. We pray God’s blessing on all involved in education in our parish. Bless those who are beginning and those moving to new beginnings, in particular Donnacha Murphy who becomes Deputy Principal of Clooney School and Mary
