Clooney/ Spancilhill Tidy Towns Spring Bulb Planting Event: Sunday 20th October 2019 11am meeting at Clooney Church Carpark. Please dust off your bulb planters and join us to help create bulb meadows for in the approaches and exits to our townlands for Spring 2020. All welcome!
A meeting with Bishop Fintan and the Pastoral Development Team of the Diocese will meet all Pastoral Councils of the Abbey Pastoral Area this Monday 21st Oct. in the Old School Clarecastle at 7.30pm. All members of the Pastoral Council are urged to attend and members of the Parish Council may also at-tend if they wish to do so.

New Speakers & Web Cam for St. Mary’s Church Quin At a recent Parish Council meeting it was discussed to have the speakers upgraded in Quin Church and installing a Web Cam. Liddane’s Public Address systems inspected the speakers and as they are over thirty years old and the transformers are not producing to potential, they will be replaced and
We welcome Fr. Ger Nash at all Masses this weekend. Fr. Ger will speak about the Pastoral Plan “Builders of Hope”, which comes to an end in 2020. He will also update us on how those in the Diocese currently study-ing for the ministries of Catechises and Pastoral work. Also at these Masses Fr. Tom will explain the different ministries
November House Masses: It was decided at the recent Pastoral Council Meeting to hold again this year the House Masses on the four Wednesdays of November. Ideally we would like to hold one Mass in the Maghera area, One in the Clooney Area and two in the Quin area. If you would like to host the Mass this year in your area contact Fr. Calling all Parents – Please support Pray & Play Pray and Play is an important part of our parish community here in Quin, and is open to all children aged from 3 to First Holy Communion age. We are urgently in need of parents to join us leaders! We are looking for Mums and Dads (ideally of children who attend Pray & Play) to volunteer. Rota is once every 6 weeks and will require volunteers to complete Garda vetting. Please contact Paula Nugent on 086 389 8582 or speak to Fr. Tom if you can help out.
