Season of Advent: In this season the Church is preparing to celebrate the Birth of Christ. As we remember, so also we look forward in faith to his Second Coming at the end of time. It’s a period of joyful hope. The hope of Advent is expressed in the first part of Advent with the concentration on the Second Coming

The Angelus: Tune into RTE 1 television for the Angelus at 6pm next Friday 5th December. It will feature St
Mary’s Church and Quin Abbey, filmed and produced by parishioner Killian Wall

Sacramental Masses: The next preparation Masses for children preparing for the Sacraments will take
place on the weekend of 13th /14th December at the 7pm Mass in St John XXIII Church Clooney and the
11am Mass in St Mary’s Church Quin.

First Friday: Next Friday 5th December is the first Friday of the month with Mass at 10am in St Mary’s Church
Quin.

Sacraments 2026: Confirmation will be celebrated in the parish on Friday 15th May in St Mary’s Church Quin at 11am and in St John XXIII Clooney at 2.30pm. First Holy Communion will be celebrated on Friday 15th May at 2.30pm in St. John XXIII Clooney and on Saturday 23rd May at 11am in St Mary’s Church Quin. Enrolment ceremonies for

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place every Thursday from 12noon in St Mary’s Church Quin. Why not come and spend some time in prayer on a Thursday.
