Solemn Profession

This Sunday morning at the 10.30am Mass in the Friary, Ian Cunningham from Ennis will make his Solemn Profession as a Franciscan Friar. Bro. Triumph of the Holy Cross

This Sunday is the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. This feast is celebrated every year on the 14th September and celebrates the Triumph of the Cross. On Good Friday we dwell on the sufferings of Christ as he hung upon the Cross, today we reflect on the blessings that came from that fatal day, Good Friday.

Two New Saints

On Sunday next 7th September Pope Leo will canonise Blessed Carlo Acutis and Blessed Pio Giorgio Frassati at a ceremony in Rome. Though they lived a Century apart, their joint Canonisation highlights the universal call to holiness. With Carlo recognized for his use of technology to help spread the faith and Frassati for his devoted service of the poor.
